Ostrich Myth, Original Painting

380

Acrylic on Canvas

60x80cm

As part of the SUNSET SERIES collection, inspired by a vision of a girl covered in her blanket, in front of a scenery she loved, but couldn’t enjoy. Over time, this vision changed into the ‘Ostrich Myth’. According to the myth, ostriches bury their heads in the sand when faced with danger and believe they are saved. The girl uses her blanket, which symbolizes nostalgia and memories, as a way to soothe herself. But in reality she is just totally exposed.
