An autoportrait, which explores a layered composition of patterns, textures, and colors that evoke a sense of confusion and unease, giving rise to its title, “Overwhelmed.” Each rug pattern symbolizes a different thought, a different situation, happening at the same time and dealing with them at the same moment. Sitting in this pile of emotions causes this overwhelming feeling, where you are numb to act or do anything, and procrastination is your best friend. The little jars of shells represent the forgotten passions and hobbies that you once loved but now you’re so overwhelmed to follow.
